Part One: Staying Connected
You’ve probably posted a Facebook status or added new people into your Google+ circles, but do you actually have a foolproof method to keeping your brand socially connected?
There are multiple articles, resources and tools (like HootSuite) that can help you run your social sites more successfully. Here at Leverage, we spend countless hours making sure the social platforms of our agency, our team members and our clients are active and engaging. And since summer is right around the corner, why not get started on boosting your sites right now, during “A Summer with Leverage!”
Step one of this process is consistency: In how regularly we post, in the colors and images we use on our sites and in our messaging, we make sure everything flows. For instance, if you only post once a month or if a sense of branding is nowhere to be seen, people are going to be less likely to follow you.
Step two when it comes to social media is all about content: Your sites should be pushing out original posts, as well as sharing other relevant articles, meaning you can retweet companies on Twitter, share publication’s posts on Facebook and Google+ and like industry news on LinkedIn.
Step 3 boils down to control: At Leverage, we believe in raising our clients up to be influencers in their space, which, in turn, boosts our overall influence in PR. To achieve this, make sure the original content you share is high-quality and centered around information sharing and not promotion. Engage with other high-profile accounts to build strategic relationships and establish yourself on the same level they are.
