The New Year saw a round of fresh recruits at Leverage PR, with a new Account Executive and three new Account Coordinators joining the staff.
Incoming Account Exec Aleks Vickovich brings a depth of knowledge and experience to Leverage PR as an award-winning business journalist, editor and media advisor.
He has written widely on global financial markets, politics and regulation, investments and technology, as well as emceeing and organizing events and conferences on these topics. He was part of the team that launched FintechBusiness.com and is an Associate Member of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Marilyn Perkins also joined the team in early 2016, after graduating from the University of North Texas, where she was Vice President of UNT’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
Marilyn has strong experience in the PR field, having creating PR and marketing campaigns to raise support, awareness and funding for a number of non-profits and completing a subsequent internship at Cooper Smith Agency in Dallas.
A former newsletter publication editor, FleishmanHillard team member and a corporate advisory Fellow at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Shannon Bailie brings a wealth of corporate communications and PR experience to Leverage.
She received her B.A. in public relations from Texas State University, where she specialized in media design, interviewing, pitching and copywriting
Rounding out the trio of awesome new Account Coordinators, Bonnie Paresa joined the firm in early February, relocating to the company’s Austin office from her hometown of Los Angeles.
After graduating from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, Bonnie gained strong communications and PR experience as an intern at the Penske Motor Group, FleishmanHillard and The Center for Community Engagement at Cal Poly Pomona.
Commenting on the incoming team members, Leverage PR Senior Vice President Emily Thomson said the hires demonstrate the firm’s strong growth outlook and commitment to investing in talent.
